The mission of Apache Wayang is the creation and maintenance of software related to cross-engine data processing that aims at (i) decoupling applications from underlying data processing engines, such as Apache Flink, Apache Spark, databases, or ML systems, and (ii) automatically determining the optimal combination of engines to execute a given data pipeline using an optimizer
